    The award is conferred

    The Sitara-e-Shujaat is conferred at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Pakistan Day, among 135 recipients, and received by her family.

    Sitara-e-Shujaat announced

    On the 75th Independence Day, the President of Pakistan announces the Sitara-e-Shujaat for Shaheed Advocate Fizza Tariq Malik.

    Fizza Trust is founded

    At the Islamabad Club, the family constitutes Fizza Trust under the theme “Every Life Counts”, announcing scholarships for young women in law.

    A nation grieves

    The BBC, Dawn and The Express Tribune profile her life; she becomes known as the face of the tragedy across national and international media.

    The attack on the Islamabad District Courts

    An armed assault strikes the district courts complex in Sector F-8. At least eleven are killed, including Additional Sessions Judge Rafaqat Ahmed Awan. Fizza is martyred at the workplace she chose out of love for her country.

    Joins the chamber of Advocate Kayani

    She begins assisting on criminal matters at the Islamabad district courts under Advocate Mohsin Akhtar Kayani.
